I am honored to be the principal at Orchard Elementary School, a school that is excelling in so many areas! This is my 26th year with the district; previously I was the principal at Rio Linda Elementary.  Before serving as an administrator, I was a classroom and Special Education teacher at Orchard, Kohler and F.C. Joyce Elementary Schools for 12 years.  It is a privilege to work with the great staff we have here and I continue to enjoy collaborating with the students and families in our community.  I am committed to continuing the long-standing tradition of excellence we have here and we will continue to offer great learning experiences to every student. Here at Orchard there is a great tradition of involvement by students, parents, teachers and staff members to support our students' growth. 

 

I always welcome parents/guardians and community members at Orchard.  One of the best ways you can support your children is to stay involved.  This can be accomplished in a variety of ways.  First and foremost, be sure to stay in contact with your child’s teacher. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them with any questions or concerns.  Additionally, we encourage you to become active participants in our school through volunteering in the classroom, attending school events, and joining one of our parent committees (School Site Council, English Learner Advisory Committee, Booster Club).   

My goal is to ensure that all children are healthy, happy and safe so they learn as much as they can and reach new levels of achievement. I look forward to working with you to ensure our students meet their goals and find success in all they aspire to.
